Dinton is a small village located in the county of Wiltshire, England. It is situated approximately 7 miles west of Salisbury and has a population of around 500 people. The village is known for its beautiful countryside, historic buildings, and friendly community.

One of the most notable landmarks in Dinton is the Church of St. Mary. This 13th-century church is a Grade I listed building and features stunning stained glass windows, a medieval font, and a 17th-century pulpit. The church is still in use today and holds regular services, as well as hosting community events and concerts throughout the year.

Dinton is also home to a number of traditional thatched cottages, many of which date back to the 17th and 18th centuries. There Is A Great Network Of Public Footpaths And Bridleways In The Vicinity Of Fonthill Gifford And Fonthill Bishop (See Map Image). Although Entry To The Water Is Actively Discouraged If You Walk To The Dam At The Southern End Of The Lake, Just Beyond It Is A Fabulous Shallow Chalk Stream For Splashing Around In. I Suggest Parking Where The Finger Is Pointing On My Posted Map. Fonthill Is Famous For Its Huge 18Thc Country House, Long Since Demolished After It Part Collapsed! See Link To Find Out More About That. The Only Visible Remains Of The Abbey Are The Huge Arch And Urns At The North Entrance To The Estate, Just Off The B3089 At Fonthill Bishop. Loop Walk By Salisbury Rugby Club And Victoria Park
The Rugby Club Itself Is A Fairly Flat Hill To Let The Dogs Run Around In There's A Footpath That Then Leads To The Dad's Joke Footpath/Walk And Can Walk Into The Town Centre From This Route.
