Cackleshaw is a small village located in the metropolitan borough of Calderdale, West Yorkshire. The village is situated on the hills above the town of Halifax and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village has a rich history dating back to the 13th century when it was known as Cackelshawe. The village was once a thriving community with a number of mills and farms, but today it is a quiet and peaceful place to live.

One of the most notable features of Cackleshaw is the St. John the Baptist Church. The church dates back to the 14th century and is a Grade II listed building. The church is a beautiful example of Gothic architecture and is well worth a visit. The church is still in use today and holds regular services for the local community.

Cackleshaw is also home to a number of walking trails that offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The village is located on the Pennine Way, which is a long-distance footpath that runs from Derbyshire to Scotland. The Pennine Way passes through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the UK, including the Yorkshire Dales and the Northumberland National Park. The village is also close to the Calderdale Way, which is a circular walking route that takes in some of the most scenic parts of Calderdale.
