Welcome to Honington

Honington is a small village located in the county of Warwickshire, England. The village is situated approximately 5 miles south of the town of Shipston-on-Stour and 10 miles east of the town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Honington is a rural village with a population of around 200 people. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists.

Honington has a rich history dating back to the Roman times. The village was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 and was once home to a medieval castle. Today, the village is home to a number of historic buildings including the 12th-century St John the Baptist Church and the 17th-century Honington Hall. The village also has a pub, The White Horse, which dates back to the 18th century and is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike.

Despite its small size, Honington has a strong sense of community. The village has a number of local groups and clubs including a cricket club, a gardening club, and a women's institute. This Walk Follows An Old Railway Line And Rather Appropriately Has A Cafe At The Milcote Picnic Site (In Between Welford On Avon And Clifford Chambers) Which Is A Converted Railway Carriage Where Dogs Always Receive A Warm Welcome From The Owner And His Two Dogs! It Is A Nice, Easy Flat Walk And You Can Walk Right Into Stratford Upon Avon. The Car Park Can Get Rather Full And The Route Is Very Popular With Cyclists So These Are Things Worth Bearing In Mind.
