Monks Eleigh is a small village located in the county of Suffolk, England. The village is situated on the River Brett and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village has a rich history dating back to the 11th century when it was known as "Elegha". The name "Monks Eleigh" comes from the fact that the village was once owned by the monks of Bury St Edmunds Abbey.

One of the most notable features of Monks Eleigh is its beautiful church, St Peter's Church. The church dates back to the 14th century and is a Grade I listed building. The church is known for its stunning architecture and beautiful stained glass windows. The church is also home to a number of interesting historical artifacts, including a 15th-century brass eagle lectern and a 17th-century pulpit.

Monks Eleigh is also home to a number of other interesting historical sites, including the Monks Eleigh Tye, a large open space that was once used for grazing animals. The village also has a number of traditional thatched cottages, many of which date back to the 16th and 17th centuries.
