DE6 2GB 4.82 miles Take The A515 To Ashbourne Heading Towards Buxton. Turn Left Onto Green Lane When You Reach The Sign For Milldale. Turn Left After Crossing The Road Bridge And Pass Through To The Other End Of The Village, Where You Will Find The Car Park.

The Route Follows The Monk's Dale Dry Gorge Near Buxton. The Valley Is Dry Over The Summer But There Is A Winterbourne Stream Which Runs Into The River Wye. For Some Larger Dog Breeds This Can Be Linear Walk; The Wall Gaps Towards The Halfway Mark Get Quite Narrow. You Can Also Readily Join The Monsal Trail From The Carpark Of This Walk.
