Slight Walk Up To The Top Of The Hill But The Views Are Stunning From The Top. If You Take The Left Path Once Up The Top, You Can Walk Down To Cheddar Gorge Or You Can Take The Right Path And Walk Down Into The Woods To Rowberrow Warren And Dolebury Warren. Livestock On Route And Can Get Very Muddy In The Winter Due To The Horses And Cows Churning Up The Mud Making It Very Hard To Walk Up The Hill. Lovely Walk During The Summer. We Often Spend All Day Walking There And My Two Cockers Love It! Burrington Combe Blagdon 2.44 miles Once You Enter Burrington Coombe, You’Ll See A Lay-By Further Down Beneath Burrington Ham. Park Up In The Lay-By And Cross The Road. Follow The Road Up And You’Ll See A Sign Saying Black Down On Your Right. Walk Down Past The Driveway And Make Your Way Up To The Top!

Found This A Few Years Ago With My Late Husband And Now Go There With My Daughter. Together We Have For Dogs. Easy Walking With A Few Tracks Off To The Sides. It Was Only By Chance That We Found Out It Has An Old Chimney There. It Is Called The Smitham Chimney And Was Used Many Years Ago For Smelting Lead And Zinc. It Is Almost Surrounded By Water. Lovely Walk Around The Gorge. It Is Best To Keep Dogs On Lead Because Of The Cliffs Edge But There Are Some Lovely Views At The Top. It Is A Very Hilly Walk And Is Also Fairly Long. You Can Walk Down Into The Village And There Are Toilets, Places To Eat And Have A Break Too.
