Local Dog Walks

Crook Peak
Very Steep Walk Up To The Peak. Once You’Re At The Top, You Can Follow The Hill All The Way Around And Down To Cheddar So It Is A Very Decent Long Walk. The Views From The Top Are Stunning Which Makes The Climb Up Very Worth It. There Is Livestock On Route So Dogs May Have To Be On A Lead At Times. My Two Spaniels Love It Up There!

Cheddar Reservoir
A Fairly Small Circular Walk But Offers Lots Of Swimming For The Dogs. Mine Love Swimming In The Reservoir. There Are Sheep Around One Half Of The Reservoir So Dogs May Have To Be On Lead But The Other Half Does Not Have Sheep. A Football Field Is Also On Route So Dogs Can Have A Run Around There Too.

Black Down Burrington Coombe
Slight Walk Up To The Top Of The Hill But The Views Are Stunning From The Top. If You Take The Left Path Once Up The Top, You Can Walk Down To Cheddar Gorge Or You Can Take The Right Path And Walk Down Into The Woods To Rowberrow Warren And Dolebury Warren. Livestock On Route And Can Get Very Muddy In The Winter Due To The Horses And Cows Churning Up The Mud Making It Very Hard To Walk Up The Hill. Lovely Walk During The Summer. We Often Spend All Day Walking There And My Two Cockers Love It!

Cheddar Gorge
Lovely Walk Around The Gorge. It Is Best To Keep Dogs On Lead Because Of The Cliffs Edge But There Are Some Lovely Views At The Top. It Is A Very Hilly Walk And Is Also Fairly Long. You Can Walk Down Into The Village And There Are Toilets, Places To Eat And Have A Break Too. I Usually Walk Down From Black Down Which Makes It An All Day Walk And Means You Don’T Have To Pay For Parking
