Welcome to Hopton Castle

Hopton Castle is a ruined castle located in the village of Hopton Heath, Shropshire, England. The castle was built in the 12th century and was originally owned by the de Say family. It was later owned by the Earls of Shrewsbury and was used as a stronghold during the English Civil War. The castle was besieged by Parliamentary forces in 1644 and was eventually captured and partially destroyed.
