Welcome to New Brinsley

New Brinsley is a small village located in the county of Nottinghamshire, England. It is situated approximately 3 miles north-west of the town of Eastwood and 5 miles north-east of the city of Nottingham. The village has a population of around 2,000 people and is known for its rich history and beautiful countryside.

One of the main attractions in New Brinsley is the Brinsley Headstocks, which is a former coal mine that has been transformed into a nature reserve. The headstocks are a reminder of the village's industrial past and offer visitors the opportunity to explore the area's natural beauty. The reserve is home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, butterflies, and small mammals, and is a popular spot for walking and cycling.

New Brinsley is also home to a number of historic buildings, including St James' Church, which dates back to the 12th century. The church is a Grade II listed building and features a number of interesting architectural features, including a Norman doorway and a 14th-century font. Other notable buildings in the village include the Old School House, which was built in 1840, and the former Brinsley Colliery Welfare Institute, which is now used as a community centre.
