Welcome to Kirton

Kirton is a small village located in the county of Nottinghamshire, England. It is situated approximately 5 miles east of Retford and 15 miles west of Lincoln. The village has a population of around 300 people and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Kirton has a rich history, with evidence of human activity dating back to the Bronze Age. The village was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 and has been inhabited ever since.

One of the most notable features of Kirton is its beautiful church, St. Peter and St. Paul. The church dates back to the 12th century and is a Grade I listed building. It is known for its impressive tower, which stands at 100 feet tall and can be seen from miles around. The church also has a number of interesting features, including a Norman font, a 14th-century pulpit, and a 15th-century rood screen.
