Welcome to Chilwell

Chilwell is a small village located in the county of Nottinghamshire, England. It is situated approximately 5 miles southwest of Nottingham city centre and is bordered by the River Trent to the south. The village has a rich history dating back to the 11th century, with evidence of Roman and Saxon settlements in the area. Chilwell is known for its beautiful countryside, with many walking and cycling routes available for visitors to explore.

One of the most notable landmarks in Chilwell is the Chetwynd Barracks, which was built in the late 19th century and served as a military training ground for soldiers during World War I and II. Today, the barracks are still in use by the British Army and are home to the 170 (Infrastructure Support) Engineer Group. The barracks are also open to the public for tours and events throughout the year.

Chilwell is also home to a number of local businesses, including shops, restaurants, and pubs.
