Car Colston is a small village located in the Rushcliffe district of Nottinghamshire, England. The village is situated approximately 10 miles east of Nottingham city centre and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village of Car Colston has a rich history dating back to the 11th century. The village was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 and was known as "Colvestune". The village was later renamed "Car Colston" in the 13th century after the Car family who were prominent landowners in the area. Today, the village is home to a number of historic buildings including St. Mary's Church which dates back to the 12th century.

Despite its small size, Car Colston has a strong sense of community and is home to a number of local amenities including a village hall, a pub, and a primary school. If You Like Mixing A Walk With History, Try Belvoir Castle. A Gorgeous Castle With Grounds. Dogs Are Not Allowed In The Castle But They Are Allowed In The Grounds And Landscaped Gardens. The Immediate Gardens All Have Themes And Are Very Pretty. There Are Both Long And Short Walks Here. See The Website To Download Them. Some Are Several Hours. It Is Pricey, £12. But Take A Picnic And Stay A While. There Is A Lovely Pub And Shopping Area Over The Road As Well. Belvoir Castle Belvoir 8.47 miles Parking On Site In A Proper Car Park.
