Mears Ashby is a small village located in the county of Northamptonshire, England. The village is situated approximately 7 miles east of Northampton and 5 miles west of Wellingborough. The village has a rich history dating back to the 11th century. The village was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 and was known as "Merse". The name "Mears Ashby" is believed to have been derived from the Old English words "mearc" meaning boundary and "asce" meaning ash tree. The village has a number of historic buildings including the 13th century St. Mary's Church and the 17th century Mears Ashby Hall.

We Had A Nice Day With Our Dog At Castle Ashby Gardens. Walk Through The Well Maintained Estate. There's Plenty To See. There Is A Short Woodland Walk That Has Been Marked Out, Round The Pond. Go Through The Arboretum And Into The Different Gardens. Dogs Can Even Go In The Glass Palmery. We Saw Several Other Dogs There. Lots Of Magical Pathways And Hiding Places. A Nice Half Day Out.
