Tholthorpe is a small village located in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England. The village is situated approximately 10 miles northwest of York and 5 miles southeast of Easingwold. Tholthorpe is a peaceful and picturesque village that is surrounded by beautiful countryside and farmland. The village has a population of around 200 people and is known for its friendly community and traditional village events.

Tholthorpe has a rich history that dates back to the Roman times. The village was once a Roman settlement and there are still remnants of the Roman road that runs through the village. Tholthorpe was also mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 and was recorded as having a church and a mill. The village has a beautiful 12th-century church, St. Mary's, which is a Grade II listed building. The church has a unique octagonal tower and is known for its beautiful stained glass windows.
