Welcome to East Hauxwell

East Hauxwell is a small village located in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. The village is situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village is home to a small community of around 50 people and has a rich history dating back to the 12th century.

One of the most notable features of East Hauxwell is the village church, St. Oswald's. The church dates back to the 12th century and is a Grade II listed building. The church is known for its beautiful stained glass windows and its unique bell tower, which is separate from the main building. The church is still in use today and is a popular destination for visitors to the village.

East Hauxwell is also home to a number of historic buildings, including Hauxwell Hall. The hall dates back to the 17th century and is a Grade II* listed building. The hall is now a private residence and is not open to the public, but its impressive architecture can still be admired from the outside. Other historic buildings in the village include the Old School House and the former village pub, the Black Swan.
