Welcome to Welney

Welney is a small village located in the county of Norfolk, England. It is situated on the banks of the River Great Ouse and is known for its beautiful wetlands and wildlife. The Welney Wetland Centre is a popular attraction in the area, offering visitors the chance to see a variety of birds and other animals in their natural habitat. The centre also provides educational programs and guided tours for visitors of all ages.

The village of Welney has a rich history, dating back to the Roman era. The area was once a thriving market town, with a number of shops, pubs, and other businesses. One of the most popular events in Welney is the annual swan migration. Every winter, thousands of swans flock to the area to feed on the wetlands. Visitors can watch the swans from the comfort of the Welney Wetland Centre, or take a guided tour to see them up close. The migration is a spectacular sight, and draws visitors from all over the world to the village of Welney.
