Welcome to Lydiate

Lydiate is a small village located in the Sefton borough of Merseyside, England. It is situated approximately 10 miles north of Liverpool city centre and is bordered by the villages of Maghull, Aughton and Downholland. The village has a population of around 7,000 people and is known for its rural character and historic landmarks.

One of the most notable landmarks in Lydiate is St. Catherine's Chapel, which dates back to the 15th century. The chapel is a Grade II listed building and is considered to be one of the finest examples of medieval architecture in the region. Another historic site in the village is Lydiate Hall, a 17th-century manor house that has been converted into a nursing home. The village also has a number of pubs, shops and restaurants, as well as a primary school and a community centre.

Lydiate is surrounded by greenbelt land and is home to several nature reserves, including the Lydiate Loopline and the Leeds Liverpool Canal.
