Lowton is a small village located in the county of Lancashire, England. It is situated between the towns of Wigan and Leigh and is part of the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan. The village has a population of around 11,000 people and is known for its beautiful countryside, historic buildings, and friendly community.

One of the most notable landmarks in Lowton is the Grade II listed St. Luke's Church. Built in 1846, the church is a stunning example of Victorian Gothic architecture and features intricate stained glass windows and a beautiful bell tower. The church is still in use today and is a popular destination for visitors to the village.

Lowton is also home to a number of parks and green spaces, including Pennington Flash Country Park.
