Appledore is a small village located in the Ashford district of Kent, England. The village is situated on the banks of the River Rother and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village has a rich history dating back to the 9th century when it was known as Apuldre. The village has a population of around 1,000 people and is a popular destination for tourists who come to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and explore the local area.

One of the main attractions in Appledore is the historic St. Peter and St. Paul's Church. The church dates back to the 12th century and is a Grade I listed building. The church is known for its beautiful stained glass windows and impressive architecture. Visitors can also explore the churchyard which is home to a number of historic graves and monuments.

Another popular attraction in Appledore is the Royal Military Canal. The canal was built in the early 19th century as a defence against a possible invasion by Napoleon.
