Hursley is a small village located in the county of Hampshire, England. It is situated approximately 5 miles to the south of Winchester and 8 miles to the north of Southampton. There Are Also Great Views Out To The North And South At Farley Mount. There Is Even A Private Airstrip Half Way Up. Farley Mount Country Park Is Made Up Of Several Large Copses. There Is A Selection Of Gravelled Trails As Well As The Option To Go Through The Forested Areas. We Walked A Standard Circuit Through West Wood Round To Crab Wood Which Took About An Hour Although Much Longer Walks Are Possible. The Main Trail Is Fairly Easy To Follow And We Found It To Be A Lovely, Quiet Walk And Only Saw About Four People The Whole Time We Were Out. Please Note Though That Although There Are Several Car Parks To Access The Park Walks, They Are Off Sarum Rd Heading Towards Farley Mount Monument Which Is Pretty Much A Single Track Road So Be Prepared....Not Best Suited To Very Large Vehicles.
