Linnyshaw is a small suburban area located in the north-west of England, in the Greater Manchester region. It is situated between the towns of Walkden and Little Hulton, and is part of the City of Salford. The area is primarily residential, with a mix of housing types including terraced houses, semi-detached houses, and some newer developments of apartments and townhouses.
Linnyshaw is well-connected to the rest of Greater Manchester, with good transport links to nearby towns and cities. The area is served by several bus routes, including the 36 and 37 services which run between Manchester city centre and Bolton. The nearest train station is Walkden, which is just a short bus ride away. There are also several major roads nearby, including the A580 East Lancashire Road and the M60 motorway, which provide easy access to Manchester, Liverpool, and beyond.
Despite its small size, Linnyshaw has a strong sense of community, with several local groups and organisations working to improve the area. The Linnyshaw Residents Association is particularly active, organising events and activities throughout the year, including a popular annual summer fair. There are also several local parks and green spaces, including the popular Parr Fold Park, which offers a range of recreational facilities including a children's play area, football pitches, and a skate park.
