Haigh is a small village located in the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, Greater Manchester. It is situated on the edge of the West Pennine Moors and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village has a rich history dating back to the 12th century when it was known as Hagh. The village was once a centre for coal mining and cotton spinning, but today it is a popular tourist destination with many attractions.

One of the main attractions in Haigh is Haigh Hall, a Grade II listed building that was built in the 19th century. The hall is set in 250 acres of parkland and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. It was once the home of the Earls of Crawford and Balcarres and is now a popular wedding venue and hotel. The hall also has a restaurant and bar, which serves delicious food and drinks.

Another popular attraction in Haigh is Haigh Woodland Park, which is located next to Haigh Hall. The park covers 250 acres and has a range of activities for visitors to enjoy. There are walking and cycling trails, a high ropes course, an adventure playground, and a miniature railway. The park also has a café and a gift shop, making it the perfect place to spend a day with family and friends.
