Wardlow is a small village located in the Derbyshire Dales district of Derbyshire, England. It is situated on the A623 road between Chapel-en-le-Frith and Calver. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a popular destination for walkers and hikers. One of the main attractions in Wardlow is the Wardlow Mires Pottery, which is located in the heart of the village. The pottery is a family-run business that has been operating for over 30 years. Visitors can watch the potters at work and purchase handmade pottery items from the shop. The pottery also offers pottery classes for those who want to learn the craft.

Another popular attraction in Wardlow is the Wardlow Hay Cop, which is a hill located just outside the village. The hill offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside and is a popular spot for picnics and walks. The hill is also home to a number of rare plant species and is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. Visitors can access the hill via a footpath that starts in the village and leads up to the summit.

For The Most Part The Trail Follows The Path Of The River Wye, Which Means It Offers Some Spectacular Scenery. You Can Get Onto The Trail At Several Points. For Some Larger Dog Breeds This Can Be Linear Walk; The Wall Gaps Towards The Halfway Mark Get Quite Narrow. You Can Also Readily Join The Monsal Trail From The Carpark Of This Walk. The Route Follows The River Wye Passing Under The Headstone Viaduct And Giving Excellent Views Of The Weir. DE45 1QS 3.89 miles Take The A6 From Bakewell. After About 2.6 Miles, You Will See The Car Park On Your Right. It Is Well Sign-Posted.

This Is A Fantastic Moderate Walk Offering Some Good Views And Interesting Scenery. Care Should Be Taken Especially When Descending From Curbar Edge Itself. S32 3YX 4.45 miles Take The A619 From Bakewell, Heading Towards Chesterfield. Upon Reaching A Roundabout, Follow Signs For Manchester And Stockport On The A623. Turn Left At The Mini Roundabout Through The Village. Stay On This Road Until You See Signs For Froggatt And Curbar. Turn Right, And Continue Until You Come To A Church. Turn Right Onto Curbar Hill. The Car Park Is On The Left When You Get Out Of The Village.
