Welcome to Spinkhill

Spinkhill is a small village located in the county of Derbyshire, England. It is situated on the eastern edge of the Peak District National Park and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village is known for its historic buildings, including the Spinkhill Castle and the St. Mary's Church, which dates back to the 12th century. The village also has a primary school, a post office, and a few local shops.

One of the main attractions in Spinkhill is the Spinkhill Castle, which was built in the 14th century. The castle was originally built as a hunting lodge for the Earl of Shrewsbury and was later used as a prison during the Civil War. Today, the castle is a private residence and is not open to the public. However, visitors can still admire the castle's impressive architecture from the outside.

Another notable feature of Spinkhill is the St. Mary's Church, which is located in the heart of the village. The church is a Grade II listed building and is known for its beautiful stained glass windows and intricate stonework. The church also has a rich history, having been used as a place of worship for over 800 years. Visitors can attend services at the church or simply admire its beauty from the outside.
