Sparrowpit is a small village located in the High Peak district of Derbyshire, England. The village is situated on the A623 road, which connects Manchester to Sheffield. Sparrowpit is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts. The Route Follows The Monk's Dale Dry Gorge Near Buxton. The Valley Is Dry Over The Summer But There Is A Winterbourne Stream Which Runs Into The River Wye. This Walk, Through The Wildmoorstone Valley, Includes Part Of The Old Cromford & High Peak Railway Line. The Walk Follows The Old Track Bed To The Now Closed Burbage Tunnel. The Return Part Of The Walk Will Take You Down Into The Valley. SK17 6GJ 5.56 miles From Buxton, Take The A5004 North Toward Errwood Reservoir.
