Shipley Gate is a small village located in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, England. The village is situated on the A608 road, which connects the nearby towns of Heanor and Ilkeston. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists. One of the most notable features of Shipley Gate is the Shipley Hill Colliery, which was once a major coal mine in the area.
