The village of Rodsley has a rich history dating back to the 11th century. The village was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 and was known as "Rodeslei". The village was once home to a castle, which was built in the 12th century. The castle was destroyed during the English Civil War in the 17th century. Today, the only remains of the castle are the earthworks and the moat.

Great For A Short Walk To Stretch The Legs. Go Up The Steep Hill To Find The Star Disc At The Top. Dogs Can Run Free, Lots Of Space, Grass, Winding Tracks And Trees For Exploring And Sniffing. Seems Like A Local Dog Walking Spot. Lovely Views Over The Dale From The Top. Walk Into The Village Whilst You Are There And Walk Up To The Puzzle Gardens Area For Cute Lanes And Cottages.
