The Route Follows The Monsal Trail, A Disused Railway Line That Has Been Converted Into A Cycling, Horse Riding And Walking Trail. The Route Veers Off The Monsal Trail To Meander Through The Wye Valley Next To The River. To Give Your Dog The Opportunity Of A Paddle. The Path Also Passes Along Some Limestone Stepping Stones. The Route Follows The Monk's Dale Dry Gorge Near Buxton. The Valley Is Dry Over The Summer But There Is A Winterbourne Stream Which Runs Into The River Wye. For Some Larger Dog Breeds This Can Be Linear Walk; The Wall Gaps Towards The Halfway Mark Get Quite Narrow. You Can Also Readily Join The Monsal Trail From The Carpark Of This Walk. This Walk, Through The Wildmoorstone Valley, Includes Part Of The Old Cromford & High Peak Railway Line. The Walk Follows The Old Track Bed To The Now Closed Burbage Tunnel.
