Old Glossop is a small village located in the High Peak district of Derbyshire, England. It is situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village has a rich history dating back to the 13th century when it was known as Gloseburh. It was an important centre for the wool trade and had a thriving market. Today, Old Glossop is a popular tourist destination and is known for its picturesque streets, historic buildings and stunning scenery.

One of the most notable landmarks in Old Glossop is the Old Manor House. This Grade II listed building dates back to the 16th century and was once the home of the local lord of the manor. It is now a private residence but can be admired from the outside. Another historic building in the village is the Old Hall, which dates back to the 17th century. It was once a coaching inn and is now a popular pub and restaurant. The village also has a number of other historic buildings, including the Old School House and the Old Post Office.

Old Glossop is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a popular destination for walkers and hikers. The village is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park and there are a number of walking trails that start from the village. One of the most popular walks is the climb up to the summit of nearby Shire Hill, which offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
