Nether Heage is a small village located in the county of Derbyshire, England. The village is situated on the River Derwent and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. We Visited Stoney Wood Whilst Staying In Wirksworth. Walkable From The Village Or Park Close By. This Place Is Part Of A Millennium Wood Planted In An Old Quarry. Walk The Derbyshire Dales Along The High Peak Trail. We Chose To Start At Middleton Top But There's Many Other Points To Jump On. The Former Railway Line Runs For 17.5Miles. There Are Toilets And Oaid Parking, Plus Cafe At Middleton Top. We Walked Towards Black Rocks. Its About 1-2 Miles, Downhill. Be Aware, It'll Make You Puff On The Way Back Up! The Track Is Stoney, Wide And Goes From Flat To Hilly, Open Views Across The Valley To Tree Lined. The Lune Has Signposts Charting The History Along The Way.
