Marlpool is a small village located in the county of Derbyshire, England. It is situated near the town of Heanor and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village has a rich history, dating back to the 12th century when it was known as Merlepole. The name Marlpool comes from the marl pits that were once used in the area for farming.

One of the main attractions in Marlpool is the Marlpool United Reformed Church. This beautiful church was built in 1866 and is still in use today. It is a Grade II listed building and is known for its stunning stained glass windows. The church is also home to a number of community events throughout the year, including concerts and fairs.
