Welcome to Lane End

Lane End is a small village located in the Derbyshire Dales district of Derbyshire, England. The village is situated on the A6 road, which runs from Luton to Carlisle. Lane End is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with rolling hills and green fields stretching as far as the eye can see. The village is home to a number of historic buildings, including the Grade II listed Lane End House, which dates back to the 17th century.

One of the main attractions in Lane End is the nearby Monsal Trail, a former railway line that has been converted into a walking and cycling path. The trail runs for 8.5 miles through some of the most stunning scenery in the Peak District, including the Monsal Viaduct, a magnificent 19th-century structure that spans the River Wye. The trail is popular with walkers, cyclists, and horse riders, and is a great way to explore the local area.

Lane End is also home to a number of small businesses, including a post office, a village shop, and a pub. The village has a strong sense of community, with regular events and activities taking place throughout the year. These include a summer fete, a Christmas market, and a village show.
