We Visited Stoney Wood Whilst Staying In Wirksworth. Walkable From The Village Or Park Close By. This Place Is Part Of A Millennium Wood Planted In An Old Quarry. Great For A Short Walk To Stretch The Legs. Go Up The Steep Hill To Find The Star Disc At The Top. Dogs Can Run Free, Lots Of Space, Grass, Winding Tracks And Trees For Exploring And Sniffing. There Are Toilets And Oaid Parking, Plus Cafe At Middleton Top. We Walked Towards Black Rocks. Its About 1-2 Miles, Downhill. Be Aware, It'll Make You Puff On The Way Back Up!
