Froggatt
This Is A Fantastic Albeit Challenging Walk Through Woodland And Narrow English Lanes, The Steep Ascent To Froggatt Edge Is Rewarded By Breath-Taking Views At The Top. S11 7TZ 4.13 miles Take The A6187 From Sheffield, Heading Towards Hathersage. Turn Left Onto The A625 Following Signs For Froggatt. Shortly After Passing The Grouse Inn On Your Right Hand Side, Turn Right And Follow The Brown National Trust Signs For Parking.

Padley Gorge
This Is An Excellent Circular Walk Through The Ancient Woodland Of Padley Gorge Starting In The Longshaw Estate Before Crossing The B6521 To Follow Beside The Burbage Brook. The Walk Travels South On The Western Bank Of The River Before Crossing And Returning Along The Eastern Bank. The Thick Tree Canopy And Running Water Ensures That This Walk Remains Cool Throughout The Summer. Whilst The Moss Covered Boulders And Many Ferns Help To Make This Feel Like A Truely Magical Place. Monsal Trail
The Monsal Trail Follows The Path Of The Former Midland Railway From Blackwell Mill Cottages To Coombs Viaduct, About 1Km Past The Former Bakewell Station - A Distance Of About 20Km. For The Most Part The Trail Follows The Path Of The River Wye, Which Means It Offers Some Spectacular Scenery. You Can Get Onto The Trail At Several Points. It Is A Tarmacked Wide Path And Goes Through Several Tunnels. The Route Is Shared By Walkers, Cyclists And Horse Riders So It Is Best To Keep Your Dogs On Lead.
