Barnett Brook is a small stream that flows through the county of Cheshire in England. It is a tributary of the River Dane and is approximately 10 miles long. The brook rises in the hills near the village of Wildboarclough and flows through the villages of Rainow and Sutton before joining the River Dane near the town of Congleton.
The brook is known for its picturesque scenery and is a popular spot for walkers and hikers. The surrounding countryside is dotted with farms and fields, and there are several footpaths and bridleways that follow the course of the brook. The brook is also home to a variety of wildlife, including otters, kingfishers, and brown trout.
Despite its small size, Barnett Brook has played an important role in the history of the area. The brook was used to power several mills in the 18th and 19th centuries, including a cotton mill in Rainow and a silk mill in Sutton. Today, the mills are no longer in operation, but the remains of some of them can still be seen along the banks of the brook.
