Over 475 Hectares Of Woodland. A Great Place To Walk Your Dog Off Lead. Plenty Of Space For Dogs To Run And Explore...And For Owners Too.Woods Are Used By Mountain Bikers And Also Horse Riding So Be Aware, Although Paths Are Marked For What Purposes. Recently Large Areas Of The Wood Have Been Used For Logging. Beautiful When Dry And Very Muddy When Wet.Lots Of Free Parking. Woburn Abbey Is Nearby. Easily Accessible From Milton Keynes.Please Note: The Authorities That Preside Over Aspley Woods Have Now Put Up Signs Saying Dogs Must Be On-Lead In All Parts Of The Woods. But The Views Over The Valley Are Worth It. It's Like A Mini Peak District. There Is A Wood And Stream At The Bottom With Flatter Paths. I Enjoyed The Slim Paths Running Around The Hills. This Is A Nice 1 Hour Walk, Plenty Of Friendly Dogs And Owners Allow Socializing. There Is A Roman Villa To Look Around, The Gravel Path Leads Around A Stream And Meadow Area. At The Bradwell End You Can Walk Up To The Concrete Cows, Although If Your Dog(S) Aren't Used To Being Off Leash Then Put Them On The Lead At That Point Due To A Busy Dual Carriageway (Monks Way). If You Continued Under Monks Way, You Can Follow The Redway To Bradwell Abbey, A Norman Abbey With A Chapel Still Standing. Back Toward Bancroft There Is A Small Wooded Area Following The Railway Back Into The Park. Squirrels, Rabbits, Jays, Woodpeckers And Other Birds Can Be Seen/Heard.
