The village of Chiltern Green has a rich history dating back to the 12th century. The village was originally known as Cheltenham and was owned by the Bishop of Lincoln. The village was later renamed Chiltern Green in the 16th century. The village has a number of historic buildings including the 12th century St. Giles Church and the 17th century Chiltern Green Farmhouse. The village also has a number of listed buildings including the Old School House and the Old Rectory.
